We are also interested in providing Sheepadoodles for use as therapy dogs for children with special needs. In 2009 we both quit our jobs and retired to our freshly bought 10 Acre ranch to breed and raise animals for the rest of our days, and we have made a commitment to providing excellent family companions with outstanding health and temperaments. I have a wealth of knowledge in animal husbandry as well as breeding confirmation. Shortly after high school, I began training thoroughbred race horses full-time.
I began my career in the racing industry as an exercise rider in high school I galloped horses before my school day began. My family raised all sorts of animals including chickens, cows, pigs, rabbits, ducks, dogs, and cats. Joanne also has an interest in animal genetics and dog training and continues to learn best practices through workshops and research. Joanne has resigned from teaching in 2006 to provide the dogs and puppies with top-notch care and attention. She taught for a local public school district as a middle school, 5th grade, and then a Reading Specialist teacher for 11 years. Joanne received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and 2 Master’s degrees- Education Administration and Literacy Specialist. She also worked as a groom and exercise rider with at Fairmount racetrack. We have always had a connection with animals, I (Hector Feller)was a professional thoroughbred racehorse trainer, while my wife Joanne worked at Alexandria Animal Hospital (in the Emergency Animal Medicine Unit) through Veterinary Technician college. If you know our story & have worked with us you’ll know we treat our animals as our own children and it is far from being just a business. We are a family of 4, I Hector Feller, my wife Joanne Feller and our two lovely daughters of the ages 12 and 15. This is a family controlled business which is being manage by the Feller Family.
